What the Dooce?

OK -- I am confused. I've been reading blogs for a couple years now, and of course have read Dooce.

I just don't get it. Why is her blog considered so wonderful? She posts maybe 3 times a week; her posts are amusing, but not what I would consider amazing in any way.

So, tell me, why is she so popular? I am in no way bashing her -- more power to her to get that kind of readership for doing nothing spectacular. I am just curious as to why people are so drawn to her website.
