Can we just skip it this year

My dad's in the hospital - has been since last Thursday. Not sure what is wrong. Might be an aneurysm, might be a blood clot in the lung, possibly pneumonia as well. They're not quite sure - just keep runnning tests and pumping him full of blood thinners and antibiotics.

My daughter has to work Christmas Eve until 7:30. Christmas Eve is when my family gets together to celebrate - not Christmas Day. I am not pleased. This will be the first Christmas Eve without her. She could drive out to my sister's house after work - and get there in just about enough time to say good-bye to everybody. Of course it may not matter much if Dad is still in the hospital.

I did get my shopping done - now have to wrap stuff up.

Work sucks right now -- it will get better, just right now is difficult for me.
